01 Who we are
Vantia Trade d.o.o. is a Croatia-based wholesaler of lighting equipment that also installs lights and furniture, working across Europe and worldwide.
This policy explains what personal data we handle when you browse vantiatrade.com, contact us or place an order. We are the controller of that data and we process it lawfully, fairly and transparently.
Our processing is governed by the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Croatian Act on the Implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation (Zakon o provedbi Opće uredbe o zaštiti podataka, NN 42/2018). Because we ship worldwide, we apply the same rights and safeguards to visitors and customers outside the EU/EEA.
02 What we collect
- Details you give us
- When you request a quote, email or call us — your name, company, email address, phone number, delivery or site address and the contents of your message or plan.
- Order & project data
- The lighting equipment, furniture, quantities, installation dates and destinations you ask about, so we can price a quote, raise a proforma invoice, arrange freight and schedule a crew.
- Preferences
- Your chosen currency, language and saved catalogue filters, stored locally in your browser to keep the storefront convenient.
- Technical & usage data
- Standard information such as browser type, approximate region and pages viewed — only where you allow analytics cookies.
We do not knowingly collect data from children, we do not sell your personal data, and we do not ask for payment card details on this site — orders are settled by bank transfer against a proforma invoice.
03 How we use it
We use personal data only where we have a lawful basis: to perform or prepare a contract with you, to pursue our legitimate business interests as a trading and installation company, to meet a legal obligation, or with your consent. Specifically, we use it to:

- 02Process orders, raise proforma invoices and arrange delivery and installation from Croatia.
- 03Confirm freight, installation and lead time with you before anything is charged.

- 06Send range and stock information where you have opted in.
- 07Meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations.
05 Your rights
The GDPR and the Croatian Act on the Implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation (Zakon o provedbi Opće uredbe o zaštiti podataka, NN 42/2018) give you a set of rights over the data we hold about you; we extend the same rights to visitors outside the EU/EEA. To exercise any of them, email us — we will verify who you are and respond without undue delay, and in any case within one month.
- Access
- Ask for confirmation that we hold your personal data, and for a copy of it.
- Rectification
- Have inaccurate, outdated or incomplete data corrected or completed.
- Erasure
- Request deletion of your data where there is no overriding legal reason to keep it.
- Restriction
- Ask us to limit or suspend how we process your data in certain cases.
- Object
- Object to processing based on our legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time.
- Portability
- Receive the data you gave us in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent
- Change your cookie choices or withdraw any consent you gave, at any time.
- Complain
- Lodge a complaint with the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP) or the supervisory authority in your jurisdiction.
06 Retention & transfers
- Retention
- We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected — to answer your enquiry, fulfil an order or installation, maintain the trading relationship, and satisfy accounting and tax obligations under Croatian and EU law. After that it is securely deleted or anonymised.
- Security
- We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse. Service providers we rely on — hosting, email, freight and installation partners — process data only on our instructions.
- International transfers
- We ship worldwide, so shipping and contact details may be shared with carriers, customs agents and service providers outside Croatia and the EU/EEA. We transfer personal data only where the receiving country or recipient provides an adequate level of protection, under appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or with your consent.
07 Changes
We may update this policy as our range, service providers or legal obligations change. The version published here is always the current one, and the date at the top tells you when it last changed. Material changes will be highlighted on the site.
